
David Behringer
David Behringer is a Senior Research Associate for the Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies working in the Sustainable Fisheries Division at NOAA’s Southeast Fisheries Science Center. David’s work centers around fishery-dependent survey design and data analysis for fisheries in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Prior to his current position, he was a Fisheries Biologist for North Carolina’s Division of Marine Fisheries. David earned his M.S. in 2019 where he used acoustic telemetry and stable isotopes to study resource contribution and habitat use of juvenile red drum.
